As I'm a bit like the Pierre Bellemare of the internets, I really tend to test all the “trendy” things that I see, whether they're overpriced things or cheap things on AliExpress, 9 times out of 10 I'm disappointed, then sometimes it's a revelation, and I end up with a product that I recommend and offer to EVERYONE. This is the case of these Loop Quiet 2who are truly my daily companions to an extent that you cannot imagine.

So yes, these are silicone earplugs which help to attenuate noise. Nothing very technological or incredible so far, you probably even have several pairs in your bedside table. Except that here, it goes much further than that, and to explain it to you better, I will list the cases where I use them:

  • When I'm at my desk and I need some quiet
  • When the washing machine runs at home
  • When I sleep with the window open and it's a mess outside
  • When I go to a noisy concert
  • When I want read silently
  • When I have a headache

The strength of this product is that, unlike the usual disposable caps, you can always keep it with you in their little box (I have two pairs, one on my bedside table, and one in my everyday bag ), and that, precisely because they are not disposable, you will really tend to wear them all the time.

The second strength of this product is their softness and the fact that once placed in your ear, you absolutely don't feel it, but like NOT AT ALL. Even if you sleep on your ear, on your side. During the day when I'm working at my computer and I need silence, bam I slip them into my ear, and it's miraculous. As they are made of silicone, they are easily washable, a quick run under water and presto.

In detail, they offer sound attenuation of 24 dB. It's both a lot, and not that much, since it also allows you not to completely cut yourself off from the worldin comparison with headphones with ANC for example. Note that, if you are looking for something less isolating for concerts, for example, there is a version with less insulation. Having tinnitus in my left ear, I prefer better sound insulation from now on, to try to save my right ear!
